You will need a copy of the “2007 Laws and Rules Pertaining to the Practice of the Professions of Engineering and Land Surveying” with each of the following packets. You may print it from this link (it is approximately 60 pages) or you may email your mailing address to the Board Office at jennifer.rowe@ipels.idaho.gov and we will email you a copy of it.

If your degree is not from the United States and is not listed by a Washington Accord signatories as an approved program, then you may need a third-party evaluation of your academic credentials. Our Board accepts evaluations from the Center for Professional Engineering Education Services or from the AACRAO's International Education Services. If you choose AACRAO to do the evaluation you must request an EAC/ABET comparison type evaluation and you must authorize them to send a copy of the completed report to the Idaho Board.

The first format [PDF6+] can be saved to your computer and completed on your computer. You must have Acrobat Reader Version 6.0 or higher in order to use this version. When the forms have been completed on your computer, they must be printed, signed, and notarized. You must then mail the completed application and fee to the Board Office at: Board of PE & PLS, 5535 West Overland Road, Boise, Idaho 83705. You may use one of the mailing labels which can be produced from one of the forms available through links from this page.
The second format [PDF4-] is accessible if you have Acrobat Reader Version 4 or lower. It cannot be completed online or on your computer. The forms must be printed, completed by typewriter or neatly handwritten, signed, and notarized. You must then mail the completed application and fee to the Board Office at: Board of PE & PLS, 5535 West Overland Road, Boise, Idaho 83705.
